STEWARDSHIP

All American Citrus Foundation

Grove Gatherings is proudly connected to the All American Citrus Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving heritage citrus orchards and promoting agricultural education across Southern California.

The grove surrounding the estate is home to more than 500 organic Shasta Gold mandarin trees, part of one of the region’s remaining living citrus landscapes. Maintaining this orchard requires year-round care, stewardship, and community support.

When you gather at the estate, you become part of this mission — supporting a living landscape that gives back to the community it serves.

The Mission

We are proudly a Nonprofit 501(c)(3).

We are a family farm that specializes in premium Organic Shasta Gold Mandarins.

We are:

  • Woman Owned

  • Veteran Operated (in loving memory, March 11, 2024)

  • Autism Inspired

Our Mission is to break the cultural stigma about the capabilities of people with Autism. Similarly, if you see a fruit that may look imperfect, remember, it's just different, not less.

About

The foundation was created by Trish and her late husband Marty with two goals in mind:
to preserve Southern California’s citrus heritage and to create meaningful opportunities that highlight the remarkable capabilities of individuals with autism when given the opportunity to thrive.

Inspired by their autistic son, the foundation reflects a belief that community, purpose, and hands-on work in nature can create powerful opportunities for connection and growth.

A Living Orchard

For many years, Trish and Marty personally maintained the grove and managed its operations as a family — harvesting fruit and distributing shipments across all 48 states.

After Marty’s passing, sustaining the orchard became both a challenge and a mission. Today, the grove continues through the support of volunteers, community partnerships, and the proceeds from estate stays and Grove Gatherings events, which help fund the ongoing care of the land.

Maintaining a living orchard is a year-round commitment. Volunteers assist with seasonal harvests, while donations and event proceeds help support tree care, irrigation, and preservation efforts.

When guests stay or celebrate at the estate, they become part of something larger — helping sustain a living landscape rooted in both agricultural heritage and community purpose.
